ANOTHER WORLD DAILY SYNOPSIS.

April 1, 1986

Catlin and Sally went to the cabin. He told her he loved her and carried her across the threshold. Catlin is the first to admit that he is not the world's best housekeeper. Even if he hadn't admitted it the state of the cabin would have given it away.

Marley's mind is not on her wedding plans. Dee is surprised that Michael as a father is less than a thrill. Marley said he'd lied. Michael dropped in. He said he wanted to take Marley to New York so they could spend time together. Dee backed him up. Marley told him being given rides in his jet plane wouldn't make her love him.

Kathleen was taken to the hospital. She stalled. Enter Cass. Vince was obnoxious. Cass had hired a belly dancer. Kathleen laughed herself silly. Cass told her he was afraid of losing her. She said she had to do this. He gave in. Damn the torpedoes. Vince was obnoxious. Cass told Kathleen he loved her. "Likewise," she responded. They kissed and she was taken away.

Catlin told Sally he hadn't been thinking of much of anything since she left him [this to excuse the clothes and pizza boxes [which contained unpleasant growing things] strewn about the place]. After months of being derailed the Ewings are back on track.

Michael asked for a chance. He told her he'd always be there for her and Victoria. She asked what would happen when the novelty wore off. He phoned Caruso and told him to move the corporate headquarters of New Resources to Bay City.

The Ewings forgave each other everything. He asked her to move back in and be his wife again. She said she loved him. SILENCE.

Dee was impressed. Michael canceled Boston. Marley asked Dee to leave them alone. Exit Dee. Michael said he liked Dee. Marley was a little stiff. He was too nice for words. He mentioned her wish for her father to give her away. Enter Dee. He said he wanted to take her to New York to buy her trousseau. Marley vetoed New York. He offered to send her and Dee to Chicago. Dee was all for it. Marley said she'd think about it. Enter Jake. Michael asked what was wrong.

Cass told Vince he loved Kathleen. Vince blamed Cass for everything wrong in Kathleen's life. They insulted each other in a far from friendly fashion. MJ broke it up. Cass said he loved Kathleen and stalked out. Vince prefers Edouard to Cass. MJ is all for love.

Jake said nothing was wrong. Michael said he wanted to get to know him. Dee told him about Chicago. Jake thought it was a good idea. Marley was convinced to go. Exeunt Dee and Michael. Marley asked Jake if he was trying to get rid of her.

Kathleen asked Cass to ask Vince for her hand before she went into surgery. He agreed. Enter Vince. He threw Cass out in order to talk to Kathleen. She told him she loved Cass. He said Cass was a bum. She told him he wasn't and asked him to try to like him.

Jake assured Marley he didn't want to get rid of her. Marley agreed to go. She was concerned about him. He said he needed sleep.

Sally visited Kathleen. She was thrilled to hear Sally had moved back in with Catlin. She asked her to give Cass her grandmother's locket in case anything went wrong. Kathleen assured her she expected to come through this just fine but said she was the only one she could ask. Sally said she'd keep it for her until she was out of surgery and then she could give it to Cass herself.

Catlin told Wallingford that he knew they'd make the marriage work this time. The agency is moving slowly and he'd like a little part time work. Wallingford agreed to let him tend bar at the Northwoods Inn. Sally emerged from Kathleen's room a little sad because Kathleen was scared and because of the Locket. Catlin reassured her.

Michael assured Donna he wasn't competing with her for Marley's affections. Donna capitulated regarding the invitations. He was pleased but suspicious. She was all goodness and sweetness. He told her he was staying in Bay City indefinitely. She asked him to stay there rather than in a hotel. He looked at her funny. He accused her of making so nice because of his newly discovered wealth. She denied it. She offered a suite in the east wing. He said he'd stay not in the east wing but above the stables.

Jake told Marley Dee would never forgive her if she didn't make the most of Chicago. They parted on good terms.

The French doctor talked to Vince, MJ, and Cass about the operation. He told them they wouldn't be allowed to see Kathleen until he gave the word. Exit doctor. Cass tried to ask Vince for his daughter's hand.

Dee was thrilled by the limousine. Marley was more subdued. They embarked on their journey.

Baines' guys tried to pay Jake a little visit. He fled through his window. They kicked the door in and went after him.

Vince's response was unequivocal. FORGET IT. Cass demanded his blessing. They took Kathleen through. Everyone was kind to her. Cass sort of softened Vince's answer. [He said everything would be OK.]
