Railways: real and model

by Tony Copple

I have always loved railways, model and real. In 1968 I indulged my passion by building an "o" gauge track in my garden in Wickham, Hampshire, England, and running both steam and battery-electric trains. All lines and points (switches) were made from scratch using brass rail and wood, and the track was set in concrete. It may be still there. Anyway, I can revisit it any time because I put the 8mm cine camera in a truck (wagon) and hauled it round the track. See the first item below.
