The Location text below creates a shortcut that runs tsdiscon.exe on my Windows 10 computer to log off and open the Login screen with just one click. (Note: logging off blanks the screen for several seconds) If the shortcut doesn't work, proceed to the second set of instructions.
Right-click on your desktop, select New and select Shortcut from the menu.
Click Next, then type a name such as Switch Accounts
Create a shortcut that Logs off to the Login Screen
In the Windows Explorer, open the C:\Windows\WinSxS folder.
Search for tsdiscon.exe (top right). This may result in several files.
Right-click each tsdiscon.exe and select Create shortcut.
This will place it on the Desktop.
Double-click on each one until the correct one logs off and opens a Login screen.
Log back in to the account you just left.
Right-click on the shortcut to rename it and delete any extra shortcuts.
Select Properties to change the icon to a better one.
