Arthur Elmer Locke

The death of Mr. Arthur Elmer Locke of Wartime, Saskatchewan occurred at his from residence on November 22nd, 1985 at the age of 66 years.

Mr. Locke was born on the family farm at Wartime, Saskatchewan on September 6th, 1919. He received his education at Wartime School and later took up farming and ranching. In 1942 he moved to Saskatoon, later Winnipeg and in Nova Scotia. In 1944 he was married to Stella Moen. In 1963 he returned to help his brother, Neil, with the farm work.

He is survived by his wife, Stella, one daughter, Cheryl Kapanen, of Sudbury, Ontario; one sister Mrs. Sadie Yuers of Rosetown, and by two grandchildren. He was predeceased by his father in 1945, his mother in 1962 and two brothers, Joe in 1977 and Neil in 1979.

Funeral services were held from the Chapel of Clements Funeral Home on Saturday, November 30th at 2 p.m. with Reverend David Findlay officiating. Organist was Mr. Charles Birss and soloist was Mrs. Esther Down, singing "Amazing Grace."

Interment followed in the Elrose Cemetery with the following acting as pallbearers: Harold Bruce, John Willmek, Herb Henning, Norman Cook, John Giles, and Ross Hayes.

Clements Rosetown Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
