Paul and I got an early start and drove down to Waterville Valley, arriving at the ski hill parking area for noon. We ate lunch at the car as we
geared up for the climb. The snow was thin here so we brought along snowshoes, but did not end up needing them. The hike up was fairly steady
without any complicated sections, and despite my trepidation of doing a ski hill hike, ended up being quite a nice little jaunt through the
woods. There were a lot of people on the trail including a family with three young children that had us playing leap frog
for a little while as these speedy youngsters ran ahead of us and then waited up
for their parents. A meltdown tantrum from one of the kids finally occured and that was the last we saw of them.
Bony trail to start

Lookout over the somewhat thin lower slopes

At about 3000 feet we put on microspikes for some icy sections, and then after a couple hours of climbing we reached a junction from
which a sign pointed to the summit in both directions. Initially a bit confused, I then remembered that the map had a loop trail on top. We decided
on the left hand path, and after a short bit of steep climbing found ourselves on top. Paul's first NH peak, and my forty-sixth. Despite
this being the shortest mountain of the list, it had a bit of a view.
Summit junction... choose wisely!

Top of Tecumseh

After finishing off the summit loop, we decided to hike over to the top of the ski hill and see if there was a better view there, and maybe a
canteen for a summit beer. No success on getting a beer at the top of the t-bar lift, but a decent view off the top of the ski run was found.
Good ski conditions at the top

Our descent went quickly and we made it back to the empty parking lot as the last people on the mountain just before darkness fell.
A little over four hours of hiking on this little mountain.
