Rivière Noire Weekend Trip - May 2006

Shannon Rapids

We have run this river few times, and always called this rapids Hunt Club, as reported in Hap Wilson's book "Rivers of the Upper Ottawa Valley". However, John Perron and other locals refer to it as "Shannon". It is located not too far south of the put-in, beyond our 1990 takeout.

Shortly after Shannon, there is an old bridge which may not be in use any more.
