Mull A brief history and description.

Please advise me if you can't find 'your' townland on these lists.
(Roy McGilvray  cv297@ncf.ca)  There are other researchers I can
ask.  If your map doesn't show the location I can give you more
specific directions from more detailed maps plus descriptions from
two good Scottish Gazetteers.

My main sources have been: Blaeu's Atlas, Langland's Atlas 1801,
Thomson's Atlas 1822, an AA Book, and the 1885 Ordnance Survey
(the latter is inexpensively available from the Map Dept of the Nat’l
Lib of Scotland; maps@nls.uk and www.nls.uk/access/mapser.htm).

This site will be improved when I find a cheap, digital, 3D map of
Mull. And, I'd like full-size, postcard views of the main areas (but
this uses too much space and slows down the system).  I'd like to
have a history of each particular area and its notable families (but
I have only the history of the McG clan in the Ross and Brolass).
I'd also like a photographic memory and an airline pass.    :-)
