Casey Callahan (Bridget Temple) has previously appeared with Tara in Suburb of Babylon and Workhouse Ward.
Plunging into the Ottawa amateur theatre scene in 1994, Casey has played women of many persuasions from Nastya, the disillusioned romantic prostitute in Gorky's The Lower Depths to Nora Strang, mother of the disturbed boy in Equus. Cameo performances as Tybalt in Romeo and Juliet, Sly in Taming of the Shrew and Alonsius in The Tempest for actor's training recital provided her with Shakespearean acting experience. (She has also earned her professional actor's certificate and drama teacher's training certificate.) She has played Frau Luker for the Lakeside Players' farce House of Dracula. With slapstick mannerisms as Ita in Suburbs of Babylon which was performed for Tara Players in 1997, Casey first met and survived the local critics. Her comedy credits also include the role of Lois in Opposites Attract performed for the Ottawa Fringe Festival in 1999. In a series of quick vignettes where Lois' punctuated this comedy, Casey undertook the task of immediately establish charcter which she played off of different fellow-actors. In the Arts Court performance of the tragic Mary Tyrone in Eugene O'Neill's Long Day's Journey Into Night in September 1999, Casey explored her capabilities in a leading role. She continues to discover the layered nuances in theatre's great roles.
