It was downhill all the way from there to Kewick, another tourist trap and since I arrived here about 3:30, I parked my bikeat the hostel and walked down to Derwentwater. I also saw the town & bought another film for the camera. The hostel here didn't serve supper tonight, though it's supposed to, but it serves breakfast. After checking in, I again walked down to Derwentwater then had a very nice supper with baked potato on my way back. I also went for a walk in a lovely park just across the road from here. The hostel is the largest I've seen so far and there are lots of pictures of the lakes all over. There are also some fantastic pieces of driftwood looking exactly like Chinese dragons.
Tomorrow I'll be seeing Bassenthwaite Lake, Crummock Water & Buttermere. If all goes well I'll be at the Youth Hostel at Buttermere tomorrow then Wastwater the next. I'll probably finish this film soon around here. I hope I don't have to buy too many more; they're expensive!
