Back to  Is Winnie the Pooh a real animal?

Thank you for your IO question Erin. Sorry it took us so long to get you an answer. One of our scientists, Pierre Kerr, search the Internet for information about Winnie the Pooh and this is what he found.

The books that you read about Winnie the Pooh were written by Alan Alexander Milne (1882-1956). He had a son, Christopher Robin Milne, who inspired him to write his books.

Christopher had a stuffed bear that was given to him on his first birthday. He was first called Edward Bear, but Christopher decided that Winnie-the-Pooh sounded more exciting.

So to answer your question, Winnie the Pooh was a real teddy bear that once belonged to a real boy named Christopher Robin Milne.

Here are some pictures of Winnie the Pooh and his friends. These were done on a computer. Colour them if you wish. Thanks for your question.
