Friday, September 9, 2011 - Drive Ottawa, ON to Amargh, NB

Left Ottawa just after 15:00. Got to Montreal just in time for a big traffic jam. Got a little lost in Quebec City and then again in the country side as we looked for our friend's house becaues we had no map. Found it though finally and had a delicious late dinner followed by blueberry cake washed down with a couple very interesting micro brewed beers.

Saturday, September 10, 2011 - Drive to Grand Falls

Had a good breakfast with the family and then went for a couple hours hike through the neighbouring fields and woods. Found many blueberries, mushrooms, and fresh bear scat. Had lunch in the garden and then we drove off. Beautiful day meant that I really wished I was riding. Passed La Pacatiere and saw the mountain that I hiked four years ago. Stopped in Riviere du Loup and took a break for coffee at a little bakery. As we drove into New Brunswick I recognized many of the towns I had ridden through. After about a five hour journey we arrived in Grand Falls and checked into the same hotel I stayed in before. I even think we are in the same room. We walked downtown and had supper followed by a brief walk along the top of the Gorge before retiring to our room for the night. I am looking forward to tomorrow, picking up exactly from where I left off four years ago.
