PEI Tour - Epilogue

Sunday, July 6, 2014 - Drive from Cornwall, PEI to Ottawa, ON

We decided to drive back in one day. Had an early breakfast at the BnB and then hit the road for almost sixteen hours. Got home more tired from sitting all day in a car then any of the days pedalling.

This tour was a lot of fun and consisted of 524 km of riding over a total of 8 days. Ignoring the hurricane, the weather was fantastic even if it was a little bit too hot and sunny at times. PEI is a very nice place and the Confederation trail is a really neat asset. I wish they would get rid of the useless barricades though, as what is a nice ride gets frustrating trying to manouver through a set of these every few kilometers. Picture a major highway with barricades at every interchange... ludicrous right? Anyway, I hope to return to explore the eastern side of the island by bike someday.
