Below is a summary of the rules for contributing to the Green Party of Ontario campaign in Ottawa-Vanier. Go to the Elections Ontario website for the complete set of rules.

Provincial Rules:

1. Only contributions up to $25 may be given in cash. Contributions over $25 must be made by a cheque drawn on a bank account in the contributor's name, by a money order signed by the contributor or by a credit card embossed with the contributor's name. (Note we do not posses the ability to process credit cards at this point.)

2. Must be resident of Ontario.

3. The CFO or other authorized persons on record with the Chief Election Officer may accept contributions for any registered constituency association and issue tax credit receipts in acknowledgement of contributions accepted. Therefore, any contributions which are collected by others, for example, by means of a door-to-door canvass, must be turned over immediately to the association's CFO or other persons on record with the Chief Election Officer, along with a list of the names and addresses of the contributors and the amounts of their individual contributions.

4. Must be clear that the money is going to “Ottawa-Vanier Greens – GPO CA” or “Verts d’Ottawa-Vanier – PVO AC” on the cheque.

5. Contribution limit of $1,120 to a constituency association per donor.

6. During the election a donor can donate another $1,120 to the candidate even if they have already reached the max donation to the Constituency Association.
