The blue dots on the map show approximately where the multi-angle photo below was taken, at points about twenty paces apart along the rim of the canyon. The center of each photo, and thus the center of rotation, is The Thumb, marked by '+' on the map. The photos were taken the morning of May 17, 2004, using a Canon PowerShot A75.
