Something interesting happens when photos taken of an object at different angles are displayed in succession: the object appears to rotate in 'three dimensions'.

I tried this multi-angle three-dimension photographic idea during a visit to southeastern Utah in May 2004, where there are plenty of spectacular 3D landscapes.

These photos were my first go at this technique of multi-angle photography. I did it casually, but now that I know it works, I'd like to photograph these scenes again, with more attention to exposure and alignment. Display problems? When you press the 'Load images' button beneath each photo, you should see this sequence:

1. The 'Load images' button should be replaced by text "Please wait while images are loaded", then
2. The text should change to "Loading image 1 of (n)" (as the images are loaded, the number increases), then
3. "Ready: Move your mouse across the image"; as you move your mouse over the image, the image should 'rotate'.

The images are displayed using JavaScript. If nothing happens when you press the 'Load images' button, your browser may be blocking 'active content' (javaScript). If so, you may see a message in a yellow bar at the top of your browser window when you click on one of the images to the right. Just click on that bar and tell it to 'allow blocked content' (and then there may be a dialog box asking if you want to allow 'active content'; click Yes). That will allow it to run javaScript for this page.

If the text changes but the browser gets stuck on the "Loading..." message, it is waiting for one of the images. Maybe the remote web site is slow, or the image specified by the web page doesn't exist (and so will never arrive). Try pressing 'refresh' on your browser, in case one of the requests was lost in the internet.
