The basic steps for turning on/off your DOS TCP/IP system are:
- If you are using a separate dialer, make it dial and connect to
your ISP
- Load the PPP/SLIP driver; depending on the one used, the dialing
step will be executed at this time
- If the TCP/IP stack is a separate TSR, load it
- Start your DOS Internet application
- Exit your DOS Internet application
- Unload the TCP/IP TSR (only if it was loaded as a separate TSR)
- Unload the packet driver; depending on the one used, the modem
may hangup at this time
- Use the dialer again for hangup the modem if it was not hungup
by unloading the driver
