Welcome

Welcome to the Blair House Blog.

I will attempt to update this site daily or as information becomes available.

This is a temporary start page to try to help people at Blair House understand the importance of staying home at this time and not having guests visit.

The website was designed to provide information in over 100 languages to help people get good information in their own language and not spread the COVID-19 virus.

This is a real pandemic people are going to die and the only thing WE can do is stay home to protect both OUR self's and the ones that we love this is a reality not something to take lightly.

Please help prevent the spread by letting your friends and family know that you are OK and would like to talk on the internet or phone but not in your home .

In Our Building as in many others there are some people with out a phone and may ask to use your phone to call their friends DO NOT OPEN YOUR DOOR and YOU should only call for them if it is an EMERGENCY.

Ask through your CLOSED DOOR what the problem is and what apartment they live in ONLY CALL 911 if it is a life threatening situation Please call Community Safety Services at 613 745 9277

Ottawa's medical officer of health is stressing the importance of social and physical distancing as she says coronavirus modelling data suggests there could be up to 4,000 undetected cases of COVID-19 in the city.

The 24 Hour Maintenance Line is in emergency only mode for fire flood or pest problems only.

Please try the News pages for news and stop going to get your morning papers.

Try to limit the number of people in elevator to just yourself and use stairs if possible (Remember the most likely place to contact the virus is on door knobs and hand railings in stair well) BE A HERO AND TRY TO SAVE LIVES.

Mission

The goal of this project is to get people involved regardless of their language in an effort to create harmony in the building with programs like a Garden, Card clubs, Car pools,.

But the main goal is to give people the ability to read in their own language.

Vision

The hope would be to see residents communicating through this technology collaborating projects and friendships being born . Dream would be a Hydroponic rooftop garden with a starter green house.
