Scholarships
The CFUW/Kanata Scholarship Trust, established as a registered charity in 2006 (Registration Number 809222276RR0001), grants scholarships annually to local high school graduates who intend to further their post secondary education.
Pictures of CFUW/Kanata Scholarship winners are featured below.
The Trust consists of five members of the CFUW/Kanata, who are appointed by the Club’s executive for a three year term.
The Trust receives its funding through donations and bequests from Club members and others, as well as from CFUW/Kanata fundraisers.
Scholarship recipients must meet the selection criteria established by the Club’s Awards Committee but the task of choosing one scholarship recipient from each of the seven Kanata area secondary schools is the responsibility of the schools.
Principal among the selection criteria is the requirement for the recipient to have a respected academic standing and an evident need for financial support. A significant contribution to school and community is also required.
Donations in cash, or by cheque made out to CFUW/Kanata Scholarship Trust, should be mailed or delivered to the treasurer of the Trust:
Janice Stonehouse,
90 Evanshen Crescent
Kanata, ON K2K 2X7
Donations of $10.00 or more are tax deductible.

For a list of the trustees you must select the year, then Section B (Directors/Trustees and Like Officials), then click on a link buried in the text that says "Directors/Trustees and Like Officials Worksheet"!
