Mark Blevis ( http://www.markblevis.com/about/) will be the key note speaker at CFUW/Kanata's next Wed Feb.8. 2012 meeting at 7pm, Stonehaven Manor, 70A Stonehaven Drive, Kanata, ON His presentation will concentrate on the Impact of Social Media on our Culture. He has many years of experience in this field, providing counsel on digital communication and engagement as a brand strategy for companies in the high-tech, pharmaceutical, financial services, energy and publishing industries, foreign embassies and Canadian government departments and agencies. CFUW/KANATA "Building a Better Ottawa”.by Max Keeping
Max Keeping, CTV Ottawa's Ambassador to the Community, will be discussing his vision for Ottawa at the next CFUW/Kanata meeting on Wed. March 14, 2012 at 7:00pm at Stonehaven Manor, 70A Stonehaven Drive, Kanata. He has received many prestigious awards, including the Order of Canada. He has helped raise more than $100-million for charities during his 37 years at CTV Ottawa. Welcome to the Canadian Federation of University Women in Kanata (CFUW/Kanata)! Whether you are a university graduate (from anywhere in the world) or would like to join as an associate member (without a degree), we would love you to share your time and talents with us.
We have so many rich programs to offer women of all ages. Enjoy monthly meetings with stimulating guest speakers. (see calendar of events).
Challenge yourself by trying a new gourmet recipe through 'International Creative Cuisine'. Improve your bridge game by taking lessons or playing in one of our many clubs. Engage in rich discussions in our various book clubs and 'History' group. Keep fit by participating in a variety of sports offered in 'Sporty Adventures'. Advocate for social justice and keep abreast of issues affecting women and girls through the Canadian Federation of University Women and the International Federation of University Women. Above all, enjoy the fellowship of like-minded women.
Come and check us out on the second Wednesday of each month, 7pm at Stonehaven Apartments, 70 Stonehaven Drive, in Kanata. We look forward to meeting you and renewing friendships.
