The Main Unit
Current components
- FM receiver module using the Airoha AR1010
- PIC 16F877 microcontroler (I was using a 18F4520, but the LCD was acting up)
- 24x2 vacuum fluorescent display (I upgraded from a regular LCD module)
- 38 KHz IR Detector
Future components
- SD/MMC card and breakout board
- MP3 decoder board - VS1033D
- real time clock module - based on the DS1307
The Tuner
The Amplifier
Based on the Tripath TA2021B amplifier chip. The board comes from 41hz Audio as a kit. I am very impressed with its sound quality, efficiency and size. Cost: $30.
