This is the scene that greeted us every day as we left our hotel. It must be said that nothing prepared us for the complete saturation of the senses, of the psyche, that is the experience of Venice.

We took some 1200 photos while we were there. We hope the few that we have shown here have conveyed some approximation of our experiences.
