Piazza San Marco. Even if there had been only St Mark's Basilica (straight ahead in this photo) or the Doge's Palace (or Palazzo Ducale di Venezia) to the right, we would have been overwhelmed. Everywhere you look on, in, and around these buildings, there is something beautiful to see.
