The centre photo shows a couple returning from shopping - even in this comparatively wide street a couple with their shopping bags can't walk side by side.

...and then you suddenly emerge into a sunlit campo with cafes and children playing and perhaps a dog or two and people meeting and stopping to talk or disappearing into another calle on their way to somewhere else.
