We enjoyed our evening on Fremont Street but after a few hours we began to look forward to getting back to the more attractive surroundings of the Luxor, Bellagio, Paris etc.

Fremont Street felt like an urban fairground past its prime. The area of The Strip that we had become accustomed to in just a few days was just as noisy at times, just as crowded, but cleaner and less chaotic. Fremont Street had a 'worn-out' feel to it.

The Fremont Street experience is definitely worth having but we had no desire to do more than that.

I've even found myself looking forward to getting back to working on the photos of the modern Strip.

Note the sign for 'Souvenir Tattoos' above - probably a source of many regrets... can you say "ninety-nine cent Margarita"?
