Ghent
The photo above is the 12th cent. Gravensteen Castle. Dark, intimidating, and foreboding on this cold, grey, rainy day. It would make a wonderful setting for a movie or some gothic horror novel. The sun would probably transform it into something more charming, perhaps even romantic.

We finally gave in to the cold and the rain and began the walk back to the train station (about 30 minutes away). All in all, it was a very successful day and we have memories that will last a lifetime.
