Other mornings we would get a very early start and enjoy the quiet streets. We encounter few people - sometimes just street cleaners and the occasional worker on their way to or from work before the morning rush starts. We might see flower sellers setting up their displays or some activity glimpsed through shop windows, sometimes deliveries being made to restaurants, but not much else. It's a very pleasant time.

Invariably, we end up looking for a coffee shop where we can sit for a bit and watch the city come to life as we check our maps and go over our intended route for the day. I say 'intended' because we seldom stick to any plan or schedule - there's always some discovery that might (well, usually does) lure us away from our our planned itinerary.

Everyone should be able to start their day like this.

Early morning.

A 'No wi-fi' coffee shop offers some good advice wrapped in a little humour ...and excellent coffee.
