Bruges
In the Minnewater Park.
A casual stroll on our arrival was enough to reveal that the week we had planned would not be long enough to do much more than touch the surface of this beautiful town - but we were determined to do our very best.
Here are a few random images:
Just a beautiful doorway.

The spire of Onze Lieve Vrouwekerk (Church of Our Lady) near our hotel was a convenient feature by which to orient ourselves on our walks around the town.

A lovely view along a canal looking toward the Belfort (Bell tower).

The medieval character of the town shows in the winding streets and alleyways - and cobblestones, cobblestones everywhere.
A view of the monument to Jan van Eyck.
More to come... churches, museums, architecture...
