Bruges

Bruges (or Bruge or Brugges or Brugge) is one of the prettiest places we've visited. There is a touch of fairytale about it with its cobblestones and ancient buildings and spires. It sometimes refers to itself as 'the Venice of the north' and there is more than a hint of that feeling as you walk along the canals admiring the views. However, far more than just pretty scenes are to be found within the walls of the old town and we hope our photos will give some sense of that.
