Set up next to Jim, N5IB at Highland Road Park Observatory in Baton Rouge, LA.
We operated for about 3 hours. Beautiful day and conditions on 20m were very
good for QRP.
A very enjoyable afternoon.
I used an ATS-3a at 3W, using a homemade Zmatch tuner with a 28' vertical wire on a
30ft Jackite pole and 4 radials. Even though we were but 40 feet apart, we
were both able to work 20m with ATS-3a's as close as 4 kHz. Amazing radio.
