Post election update:
- PEO's old boys club failed to stop the members from electing me to represent them.
- Their next gambit is a formal complaint using the Professional Engineers Act to have me resign from Council.
- Alternatively, I can choose to leave this profession.
Judge for yourself if I "need a hard slap in the face".

Denis,
You rock! Your email and a subsequent perusal of your website has convinced me to actually open the thick envelope from PEO. I admit that I at first groaned when I saw an email for the PEO election, thinking you were just another spouter of tripe towing the PEO party line, but I was pleasantly surprised. You have my vote!

Some elections can be exciting but PEO's are not. This slightly immature site has been created in the hope that a positive change for the members will result by changing the prevailing top-down attitude. Change cannot result by having the same people doing the same things the same old way. If you want change, then elect someone different!
Like most of the other candidates in this election, I could do what is expected of me and tell you how sincere I am, hardworking, selflessly motivated, kind, generous, blah, blah, blah, love children, puppies and let's not forget, completely honest too. Naturally you are expected to swallow all of this -- hook line and sinker.
Yeah, right. Like every politician
tells the truth.So to change things around a bit, I'll try to inject a little truth and humour into this annual pastime. Instead of trying to tell you how great I am and how smart you are if you vote for me, let me try the opposite. I'm going to try to tell you why I would not be a good PEO councillor!
