In the IGI there are only two Thomas Tonges listed as born in Farnworth, one on Jan 12 1777 and the other in 1779. The later is said to have a spouse named Matty Lever. For this reason the earlier Thomas is currently accepted. More research is required to verify the earlier birthdate and parentage.
