These Maastricht routes are the second and more complete versions of a previous attempt. They end at Maastricht-Randwyck, and may even go on somewhat into Belgium, if I can find the time. Maastricht version 5 has now been continued to Liége-Guillemins, with some scenery added. Also the yards at Visé and Liège-Bressoux. I have not attempted to model the spectacular glass cocoon of Guillemins station. I have started to make some correction to this route, starting at Zandvoort station, where the platform actually has no roof (sic). Version2 connects Eindhoven and Roermond via station Weert; versions 3-6 go to Venlo and then to Roermond, etc. (I had never heard of Blerick.) These routes will never be finished as more trees and buildings will be added continually. Nevertheless, they will have to do for now to fill the empty domain of Holland routes. The track is as I found it on maps and satellite views, not aways the clearest. Visit Sven Seeger's website, www.sporenplan.nl, for station and yard details. Many thanks to Sven for his painstaking research. His website now details many European railroads. Some nice Dutch coaches were discovered at: http://www.arthurstreinenpagina.nl/ With Arthur's permission I have used several of his drawings to reskin the Belgian coach of Davy Gijbels, of Belgian train sim. (http://users.skynet.be/fa321706/Home.htm) I have not been able to reach Davy for some time, but I have his permission for the original Dutch coaches and locs. Arthur Kamminga has another website devoted to Dutch railroad photographs, here: http://www.arthurkamminga.nl/rail/index1tp99.html Where known, all originators and authors have been mentioned in the object file. The TSC team 2008 is responsible for the hopper, used extensively in Limburg (a coal-mining region). The original is by (c) eezypeazy 2008, textures (c) Martyn Read. I found some beautiful trees by Gerrish Gray for Flight Simulator 2000/02. I have modified some of his bitmaps to suit BVE. Gerrish is momentarily unreachable, so I could not thank him for these. His read-me doc gives the usual permission for non-profit use. A collection of these trees can be seen on the Maastricht routes in Beatrix Park at 725-1000 meter, and some at Venlo (for now). The Den Helder route was made at the instigation of Rudolf Halenbeek. Again, this has few details, but it includes the new Schiphol tracks. The Maastricht routes also inlude the new Schiphol junction, plus the new Metro tracks at Duivendrecht, plus four track to Utrecht. The Schiphol route past Amsterdam Centraal is essentially the same as the Zwolle route up to Amersfoort. But I am not as far as yet, and I have therefor discontined the Zwolle route for now. The Long Switches route may prove useful for those new to BVE. Rudolf Halenbeek has enhanced the old A'dam-Antwerpen route with many new objects and spectacular scenery and background, for which he should be congratulated. Many thanks, Rudolf! Many objects have been borrowed from the Route Builder website. Many thanks. Rüdiger Hülsmann is still responsible for the track, switches and curves, What would we do without his Switch15 program? The Metro train is by Y.Negishi of http://urawa.cool.ne.jp/negishi_bve/. At the time of this writing the markers folder is still incomplete, but will be finished shortly. (Finished Aug.20,'10) The buildings in the Holland\Buildings folder are fashioned to be placed on the left side of the main (0) track. Right side placement needs a reversal of the bitmaps. Like so: Left side: 1000 @freeobject (0,200,-20,-4) means the center-front of building 1a (freeobj 200) is placed 20 meter to the left of track 0, and 4 meter lower, distance 1000 meter. Right side: 1000 @freeobject (0,200,20,-4,180) means the center-front of the same building is placed 20 meter to the right of track 0 and 4 meter lower; and also turned around 180 degrees. The 4 meter is the hight of the track. These objects are not copy protected in any way. Martin Fonda, Ottawa. I can be reached at: fb214@ncf.ca.
