LUNARIS CUP, SEASON #3

CUP FINAL VENUE: Old Trafford


Opening Round:
- All teams in the league will be randomly drawn into 1 of 3 groups.  
  Each group will have 4 teams.  

- Each team will play every other team in their group once, on neutral ground.  
  The top 2 teams from each group will go on the second round of the Lunaris Cup.


Second Round:
- The remaining 6 teams will then be randomly drawn into 1 of 2 groups.
  Each group will have 3 teams.

- Each team will play every other team in their group twice, in a home/away format.  
  The top 2 teams from each group will go on the semi finals of the Lunaris Cup.

- Remember that 'away' goals rule does not count.


Semi Finals:
- The top semi final Cup team from each group will be drawn  with the second place team from
  the other group, where they will play a two round (1 home and 1 away) knockout series.  

- The team which scores the most goals in the series, will be declared
  the winner.  

- In the event of both teams having scored the same number of goals after 
  the conclusion of both games, the teams will go into extra time, playing under 
  the 'silver goal' rule.  

- In the event that the score is still tied after two extra time halves, then 
  the teams will go into a penalty shootout, and the winner goes on to the semi finals. 

- Remember that 'away' goals rule does not count.

- The 2 finalists will then play one another in a 'winner takes all' 
  silver goal match, played on last season's Cup winner's home pitch, (and thus)
  home bonus may come into play), to determine the Cup Champion.
