Mr. Vandernagel was outside King's University College. He was with a group of people who were sentenced to take a weekend course, the Alberta Motor Association's Impact Program, for having been convicted of impaired driving twice. He was late and had to return to what he was doing and could not take longer for the interview.

It was a cool morning, occasionally raining and about +13C.

Age: 58

The Worst Thing:  His nephew fell to his death 175 metres off a cliff in the mountains.
