Pat's BLOG of Trip Across Canada With TourDuCanada in 2005

Tour Du Canada is put on by CycleCanada every year. The route is across Canada - start in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada and bicycle to the other coast where the tour ends in Newfoundland.

Memories.

Note: I'll be adding more pictures to this BLOG at a later date. This is a low budget project that I write into at libraries and other low-cost locations. I added pictures when at home part way through the trip. I'll be adding some more later along with some excerpts from my written diary.

My disclaimer: My writing may seem a bit abrupt at times. Please note I'm not being critical of Cycle Canada. I'm just telling it all like I saw it so y'all know what you're really getting into when you sign up for TourDuCanada. Overall, it was a great adventure.

Distance Travelled in Kilometres

The total distance that I travelled on this ride was 8586 kilometres. This is 1050 kilometres more than the distance on maps of TourDuCanada. My greater distance is due to the number of side trips that I took. The extra kilometres ridden were truly worth it. I saw many interesting sites on these side trips and learned more about Canada.
