Canister Dive Lights:
The light head is made of one piece machined aluminum, featuring a thumb activated on/off switch. The rubber toggle light switch boot, is available in yellow or black (available separately). The bulb is an MR16 12V, available in the following wattage's: 20W, 35W, 50W, 75W, 100W, 110W.
The canister is made of 5 inch diameter aluminum tubing. The canister cover plate is sealed to the main body of the housing using two stainless steel down swept locking lever clamps, thus preventing any accidental opening.
The LC08-27 and LC05-22 canisters are made of 2 3/8 inch diameter aluminum tubing. The canister housing cap is knurled and screwed to the main body, and features a slip connector for quick and easy charging.
Depth rating: 500 / 1,100 feet, - Chamber Tested - Wet, for 24 hours at depth.
Note: the 1,100 foot depth rating is applicable to only the LC08-27 and LC05-22 canister lights.
All canister lights come equipped with a 12 volt 50W, wide flood halogen bulb, 5ft high visibility water resistant yellow or black jacket electrical cord (except for the professional model).
The batteries used for the canister lights have no memory, as is the case with other rechargeable batteries. The life expectancy is approximately 500 cycles. It is possible to upgrade to a longer burn time light, by switching to a larger battery pack without having to upgrade to a new canister. This feature is available for some of the canisters. Increased burn time may also be attained by reducing the wattage of the bulb/lamp being used.
Caution:
Not all bulbs/lamps are made the same; therefore a bulb that is not purchased from Dive Tech, may result in damaging the light head components, and/or damaging the lamp/bulb, and/or flooding the unit, due to improper sealing.
