Statistics of Gallantry Decorations in
Valour in the Victory Campaign

In the final campaign in Northwest Europe, from January to May 1945, men in the 3rd Canadian Infantry Division received 169 immediate awards for outstanding courage in battle. These decorations included the Victoria Cross, as well as a number of awards of the Distinguished Service Order, the Military Cross, the Distinguished Conduct Medal, and the Military Medal.
