Hi! I am Zoey, also known as Zoey Zoey Zoomer. I am a Netherland Dwarf Rabbit, born in Kamloops, BC, in September, 1992. Sharon saw me soon after, when I was 11 weeks old, laying in small aquarium, in a pet store. She knew that an aquarium was no place for a rabbit to be, and so she adopted me, and has been my Mommy ever since. I am now 8 years old! I made the trek across Canada with Tabatha and Samantha, and now we all reside in Ottawa. We are best friends. |
| I am small, black and fuzzy. I have a brown patch under my ears, and a big
white tummy. Sharon has built me a large playpen for me to stay in while she is out, so that I do not hurt myself running free. It is huge! 3 feet wide x 4 feet long, and made of chicken wire so I can still see out. It is a hundred times better than being in a tiny fish tank! |

I am a nervous girl. I was not spayed when I was young, so my hormones are still as high as ever, but Sharon knows how to handle me well. I have only ever bitten her twice, and she soon learned what she could and could not get away with! Like all rabbits, my eyes are at the side of my head, so my vision directly in front of my nose is blurred. I get scared when someone's hand is right in front of me, as I do not realize what it is at first. So I bite! But I love my back and my ears being stroked. I will lay down low and stay still for that all day long! |
When I am not being stroked, I, like Samantha, eat alot. Sharon provides me with non-stop timothy hay, and Martin's rabbit pellets. I like the taste of Alfalfa hay much better, but for us adult rabbits, the alfalfa has too much calcium in it, and can cause crystals in our bladder. That would hurt! So timothy it is! I also like getting carrots to nibble on, and the odd piece of apple or banana as a treat.
I am a clever rabbit and I know how to use a litter box. That does not mean I necessarily use it...100% of the time...but I know how to use it if I feel like it!
