2022 OFO Convention Trip: September 21-26
Day 6: Darlington, Port Hope & Home, September 26
In the morning, Colin treated us to his
special breakfast of eggs, peameal bacon and mushrooms. Yum! We
said our goodbyes and headed out towards Ottawa. We made a
planned stop at Darlington Provincial Park accessed by hiking
from the road to the McLaughlin Bay Wildlife Reserve. It was
pleasant but not very birdy.
Back on the road, we decided to stop
for lunch at the Ganaraska River in Port Hope on the chance that
the salmon would be running. And they were!
From there we took the Tweed route to
Highway 7 and a more restful way home.
It was an amazing trip with our friends, Colin & Hilda, and
so good to be back at an OFO Convention after a 3-year absence.
