2022 OFO Convention Trip: September 21-26
Day 2: Toronto to Point Pelee with a
Stop at Hawk Cliff, September 22
The next morning, September 22, Bill
prepared his egg and cheese breakfast and we headed out. Colin
directed us to the Hawk Cliff Hawk Watch near Port Stanley. We
saw a large kettle of Broad-winged Hawks and had excellent
sightings of Northern Harriers, American Kestrels, Bald Eagles
and Sharp-shinned Hawks.
Then, it was on to Leamington, where we got installed at our Air
B&B cottage and went for a walk to the pier to see the
Killdeers and Gulls that were present, as well as the antique
cars. Instead of going out for supper, we got takeout at the
nearby diner and went back to our place.
