Early morning
It was cool, 12 °C, and wet this morning!
Adventures
Over breakfast we discussed what we would do today. Alex said to
leave our tents up to see if the sun would come out... We did
some rainy birding...
We returned to a warm campfire - inspired by Jim... Our damp
group gathered around a campfire Jim started, with help from Alex
sawing dead branches and from Karen gathering firewood.
Bill decided to take a few casts from a nearby rocky point... his
favourite red and white Williams Wabler lure got caught on bottom
but was rescued with help from Dave. No fish...
By lunch time, Alex decided we would stay in camp for the day but
have a "long hike" in the afternoon. We explored the
hills and tundra for about 3.5 hours (Lucy stayed behind to read
her book). Jim followed slowly as he has a huge broken blister on
the side of his foot - message from Jim: do not buy new hiking
boots just before a trip. We all were on the lookout for muskox -
no luck - but, as Karen says, there are always ``beautiful
vistas`` to inspire us...Barbara's camera stopped working due to
dampness - check out the drops on the photos...
