BIRD of the DAY: Sinaloa Crow
For us it was a very long day starting at 3:30am. In the afternoon we were flying over mountains near Puerto Vallarta. In spite of our long journey from Ottawa via Detroit where we had to run to make connections, we arrived in the Puerto Vallarta airport mid-afternoon the first ones of our group. We settled in to check out the local beer and it wasnt long before Luis and Chris found us. We were pleased to see Marilyn and Andy arrive - we had shared an amazing Texas birding trip together withTom Hince (guide) back in 2005.
After a scenic trip north to San Pancho in the
van, we checked into our charming hotel on a steep cobblestone
road. A Sinaloa Crow greeted us. Soon our group (some of us were
at a different hotel) gathered at a Maria's, a local restaurant,
for a delicious Mexican dinner.
