We were off on our much anticipated birding trip to NE India, starting with a flight to Toronto where we linked up with our 6 fellow birders. They had birded NW India last year with Shyam Sunder Sharma, so we would be birding with a knowledgeable group and guide. Rick calls it "Incredible India 2.0".
Soon we were on our way over Greenland and the USSR to India - 12,089 km and 14 long hours to reach New Delhi.
At the Delhi airport Asian Adventures drivers welcomed us with leis of bright flowers. We would soon discover that flowers are an important part of daily life in northern India.
