Les Îles de la Madeleine Family Cruise: August 8 -15, 2014

Introduction

Last year the Bowman family travelled to Quebec City by train. Certainly it was a pleasure travelling with Samuel who was 31/2 then as he was very excited to learn about trains. This year we thought he could transfer this enthusiasm to boats. Right! His excitement and never-ending questions kept us all energized.

Samuel with his Maman and Papa, Karine and Kirk, and his 21 month old brother, David, joined us, his grandparents, and his Uncle Grant on a cruise to les Îles de la Madeleine... a journey from Montreal to the mouth of the Saint Lawrence River and then into the Gulf, towards Prince Edward Island and Cape Breton Island.

Interestingly the CTMA staff is from les Îles, so they introduced us to the spirited island culture, including Acadian traditions.
