Montreal’s Archbishop Andrew Hutchison said dioceses are independent units and he has no jurisdiction to stop B.C.’s New Westminster diocese from performing same-sex blessings in the Vancouver area. Archbishop Hutchinson was elected leader on the fourth ballot at yesterday’s Anglican general synod."
