"A prayer-less Christian is a powerless Christian."
You have no idea how much prayer was going on during the Crusade to seek
God's guidance and ask for his presence to permeate the crowd. The prayer
sessions started months before the crusade ever even began. Billy Graham
himself stated during the crusade that if you want to help try to make this
mission a success, that he asks us to do three things: 1) Pray 2) Pray
and 3) Pray. People NOW are gathering and organizing and praying for this
Fall's Crusade in Tampa Florida and the one in Indianapolis next June.
from the Ottawa Sun, columnist Donna Casey: "A few minutes before the
start of the evening's crusade, a group of 50 people assembled in the
arena's press lounge to carry on a three-week prayer schedule. Prayer
supervisor Fred Milnes, a United Church minister from South Mountain, led
the room's "prayer partners"-- many singing with arms raised and eyes
closed - in a gentle chorus thanking God. "Jesus is praying for us that we
might be one," said Milnes. "
Can you imagine groups of prayer warriors from 470 churches in Ottawa
praying since last year for this Crusade? No wonder we see God's hand
moving in these events!!
When you listen to the rich and myriad experiences of Billy Graham, you know
he believes that prayer can move mountains. (He should have crashed into
many of them!!) I propose a Spiritual Uplifting/Fellowship 4 day event in
Indianapolis for all our Cross families and friends next June.) It's
about a 5 hour drive from Detroit.
In closing, I met a young man (through e-mail contacts!), Ron Piggott who is
studying to be a pastor. This is how he closes his e-mails: Big Bang
Theory : God said it and BANG it happened ... AMEN!
