According to the BOWERS' Family Bible, Mary (EATON) BOWERS died 09 July 1716. Mr.
BOWERS must have remarried Ellen MORTIMER (who died in 1743). Her
children included the following: Eaton (b 1716), John (b
1719), Thomas (born 1720), Phillip (1721-1723), Maunsell (born 1724), Mary
(born 1725), Elizabeth (1728-1729, Clonmore, Kilkenny,
Ireland), William, Boyle (1731-17??, Clonmore), Phillip (b 1733),
Rebecca (b 1735 in Clonmore), Maunsell (b May 1736),
Boyle (b 1738) & Michael (1739-1740, Clonmore).

Edward HAMMOND, son of Joseph HAMMOND
(labourer), was born 1837. Edward married Eliza Ann HAYES,
daughter of John HAYES, in Canterbury, Kent, England, 4 February
1861. Edward & Eliza Ann raised at least five children: Lucy (b
1865), Harriet, James, Henry & Lily (b 1874). All children were
born in Maidstone. Edward died in 1874 (3rd quarter) in Blean,
Kent. Eliza Ann remarried John COCKS, 1 February 1875, in
Maidstone. Eliza Ann died immediately before the 1881 census was
taken.

John HIGDON (son of William & Mary HIGDON)
married Agnes SOOLEY in New Harbour, Trinity Bay, Newfoundland, 16
September 1865. They raised at least nine children: William,
Samuel, Edmund, Thomas, Benjamin, Mary Anne, Charlotte, John &
Andrew (b 1887). John HIGDON may have remarried after the death of
Agnes SOOLEY.

born in Dalry, Kirkcudbright, Scotland, 1833. Hugh married Agnes
TATE in Crossmichael, Kirkcudbright, 28 November 1851. They raised
at least eleven children: John Tait, William, Mary, Jane,
George Tait, Sarah, Hugh, Semina, Elizabeth, Halbert Robertson &
Margret (b 1878).

Beatrice M (b 1899).

Sarah MAYNE, was born in Winterton, Trinity Bay, Newfoundland,
February 1859. Henry married Sarah, daughter of Stephen & Jane
(MOORAN) NOSEWORTHY, in New Harbour, Trinity Bay, 3 February 1883.
Henry & Sarah raised at least eleven children: Leah (1885-1971),
Joseph, Julia Susannah, George Stephen, James, Elizabeth Ann, John,
Henry, Janie, Lilly & Emily (1905-1993).

married Elijah LANNING, son of George & Mary LANNING, in Burnt
Islands, Notre Dame Bay, 12 December 1878. Elijah & Mary LANNING
raised at least seven children: Charlotte (1892-1952), Elijah,
John, Josephine, Louise, Hettie & Beatrice M (b 1899). Mary died in
Botwood, 24 April 1948.

John McCORMICK married Jane ROGERS.
Their marriage bond was signed in Hamilton, Ontario, 26 June 1834.
Jane was buried in the Knox Presbyterian Cemetery, Millbank,
Ontario; died 02 March 1894, aged 77.In
Wellesley township, Waterloo county, Ontario, John & Jane raised
at least nine children: Ann (b 1835), William Graham, Benjamin,
Whitfield, Michael Andrew, James, Jane, Ellen & Alice Maude
(b 1857).
Robert GIBSON married Mary HOOEY, from
Ireland, and settled in Ontario, Canada. Robert may have been
previously married. Mary & Robert raised at least eight children:
William (b 1838), John, Margaret, Joshua, Annie Jane, Samuel,
Joseph & Mary GIBSON (b 1863). Mary is buried in the Knox
Presbyterian Cemetery, Millbank, Ontario; died 13 January 1866,
aged 42. Robert, buried nearby, died 23 December 1890, aged 75
years & 8 months.
