NOTE: @ has been replaced by  [(a)] in all messages. I apologize for the inconvenience, but spammers have been harvesting the addresses.

The discussion between Howard Pattee and Jon Awbrey on Inquiry into Information is here (233KB).

The files have an .mbx extension, but for technical reasons I have added a .txt extension. Most are ASCII, but some include HTML. Attachments are not included. If you need them, send mail to me. Download files to your browser by clicking on them. Or you can save files by pressing"SHIFT" as you click Some browsers require you to right click with the mouse and click on "Save link as". Saved files can be searched using other programs that may suit you. Various mail programs, like elm and pine, can use the files as mailboxes once the .txt is removed. Eudora can do this as well, but requires editing the descmap.pce files.

Eventually I hope to have a searchable database, by Name, Subject and topics in content, as well as a way to retrieve threads on common subject. Now that I have a permanent address, I have asked my brother to do this when he has time. Till then, download the files, and do your own search for keywords. There may be a few missing messages, but thanks to Bob Ulanowicz, some of the blank spots in my records were filled.
