June 2007 - Flat Tire repair. Finding "How to" help on-line was next to impossible. So, with advice via telephone from Joe Mamma, the patient help of my oldest son and a digital camera, we managed to change the flat tire and have posted this "How did" photo gallery. Turn the bike up-side-down and balance securely.

Have a container handy, in which to keep the items you remove.

Ignore that tabby

Gear assembly thingie
|
Remove nut
|
Remove spring
|
Remove other nut
|
Other side. Remove nut. Remove yellow thingie.

Remove other fixture nut and bolt.
|

Remove chain
|
Remove wheel.
|
There's that tabby again!

Tube removed from the tire. Check the tire for any embedded sharp objects.

Replacement tube.
|
Pump the tube slightly. Slightly.
|
Insert slightly inflated tube into tire.
|
|
Prepare to attach tire to rim.
|
Insert valve into hole first.
|

There's that tabby again, patiently watching!

Pump the tube and bounce the tire a bit to confirm all is in place.

Attach wheel to bike
|
Place chain on gear thingie.
|
Ensure chain is properly in place on large gear thingie.
|
Attach bolts and nuts.
|
Make sure that yellow thing is firmly in place.
|
Attach that other thing.
|
Insert the spring.
|
Attach the gear assembly thing again.
|
Turn the bike upright. Pump the tire a bit more.
|
Put the valve cap on.
