What is fan fiction?

Fan fiction (aka fanfic) is stories using characters from a series by fans of that series. Any series you can think of, there will be fanfiction available.

I write fanfics. I write mainly Sailor Moon stories, though I am beginning to branch out. My best known work is Under a Quantum Moon, a Sailor Moon/Quantum Leap crossover. Works of mine are on several archives.

"Under a Quantum Moon" was my first fanfic. I cringe when I reread it, but I don't have the inclination to rewrite it. In short, Sam Beckett from Quantum Leap winds up in Serena from the English Sailor Moon dub.

"Sailor Canoehead" came next, and was the result of watching a week's worth of dubbed Sailor Moon episodes, then turning on Four on the Floor. I keep meaning to write "Sailor Canoehead R".

"Senshi League Baseball" was written during spring training in 1996, about roughly one inning a day. The rain delay in the fifth inning was a writer's block. I meant to write one each year, but all the little nuances of baseball, not to mention balls and fouls, can get monotonous to write.

"Leap in the Morning, Sailors Take Warning", sometimes just called "Leap in the Morning" because it's shorter, was my first sequel, and used the continuity started in "Under a Quantum Moon". This was my first attempt at a more serious story, though many people consider "Leap in the Morning" funny.

I haven't released anything since early 1997, when "Leap in the Morning" was completed. That doesn't mean I haven't stopped writing. (Just ask all my friends who are tired of hearing about some of my ongoing works.) I just haven't completed anything since then. I figure I have about a dozen writing projects on the go right now.

"Sailor Moon: Generation Gap" is my main project. Set long after the end of Sailor Moon Sailor Stars, I started writing it shortly before Sailor Moon went off the air in Japan in 1997. It is the most ambitious story I've written, and hopefully will be done before the new millenium.

I have another crossover in the works, involving Sailor Moon and Phantom Quest Corp, called Akuryou Taisan. It is currently on the back burner, pending time to watch Phantom Quest again.

I also have the rough idea for a story set at a mecha piloting academy with the working title "Mecha Academy". Again, time has limited the amount of work completed on the story, though I do have an ending. (Now to find the middle and the beginning. ^_^;;)
